It had been quite fruitful for the past 2 weeks for me. I managed to see Venky finally. He was the guy who took care of me when I was in India. He called me when I was in camp after National Day. I was thrilled and anxious, as I longed to see him. However, it was pretty hard because of our tight schedule; most of us are no longer in NCC. Finally, on Sunday on130806, he was out of Pasir Lebar Camp, and they were heading to Mustafa Centre (They spent most of their RnR trip in Mustafa Centre).

We at last got to see him. We had our dinner at Komalas Restaurant, the usual restaurant they hanged out. We chatted for a while and shared some of our experiences in the army (Absolutely no confidential or restricted stuff) so do reassure. They were heading towards Mustafa Centre. However, we brought him to a different route; we got the permission form his officer and Mdm Gudi, Central DSO. We headed to Tekka food centre.We introduced to him the local cuisine, like Hokkien Mee *(they called it Singapore Fried Noodles, Roti John, Ice Kachang, and Durian. He doesn’t seem to like Durian and Hokkien Mee. He seemed to like the Ice Kachang a lot.

After that, we managed to take a train back to the place where he had to gather. He was the only Indian Cadet who managed to take the train. It was a rather rare experience for a foreigner indeed.
